Instructions on Aftercare of Your New Tattoo
The life of your tattoo is dependent upon the care it receives within the first few days, It typically takes between one and two weeks to heal.
Upon getting home, Wash your tattoo with mildly soaped warm water.
Rinse and lightly pat dry with a clean towel.
24 hours after your tattoo, with clean hands, sparingly apply a very THIN layer of the supplied ointment no more than twice per day until the tattoo appears to be healed and no longer dry in appearance.
- DO NOT bandage your tattoo
- DO NOT use polysporin or petroleum jelly
- DO NOT use alcohol or peroxide
- DO NOT pick or scratch tattoo
- Do NOT Stretch the skin surrounding the tattoo
- DO NOT soak tattoo in tub or shower (get in, get clean, get out)
- Keep your tattoo dry and away from water for 14 days
- Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for 21 days
Once the tattoo appears healed, you may use a fragrance free lotion such as Lubriderm or Jergens daily.
Remember to NOT over lubricate your tattoo with ointment but do not let it dry out.
If a rash or discomfort occurs while using lotions, immediately discontinue using the lotion and contact us for guidance.
It is normal for your tattoo to show signs of mild bleeding on the first day.
